Chua holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple as a Barrister-at-Law in 1987 (non-practising) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1989. He also holds a Master of Science in Legal Technology, awarded with Distinction, from the University of Law, United Kingdom.
He is currently a Consultant with the firm, where his practice focuses on matters relating to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), cybersecurity, the Building (Strata Management) Act (B(SM)A), and general legal advisory work.
Over the past three decades, he has held executive, non-executive, and independent director roles at listed companies in Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan. His extensive corporate and operational experience, spanning both listed and private enterprises, spans diverse industries, including semiconductor trading, food and beverage, sports business, copyright management, real estate development, hotel management, information technology services, and strata title property management.
